Free tier

BreezeTTS2

Free alternative to: ElevenLabs

License: Non-commercial (BreezeBlue Research and Non-Commercial License for weights; Apache-2.0 for source code only)

Free terms: Free for self-hosted research and non-commercial use only; the Apache-2.0 code license does not grant rights to use the model commercially. Commercial use requires a written license from RESONIA, INC. (or BreezeBlue's paid hosted platform/API, whose outputs may be used commercially under its Terms of Service).

What it does

3B-parameter open-weight text-to-speech model built for real-time interaction, with streaming under 40ms time-to-first-audio and reference-free voice design.

Heads-up: NOT open source: the model weights are explicitly 'research and non-commercial use only' — commercial use (e.g. monetized voiceovers) requires a paid license from BreezeBlue/RESONIA. Verified 2026-09-17 from the official repo README (breezeblue-ai/breeze-tts): 'Source code is licensed under Apache 2.0. Breeze TTS 2 model weights, derivative models, and self-hosted outputs are for research and non-commercial use only.'
